Valle Grande: Jemez River ancestral origin (Infrared)

Valles Caldera National National Preserve 

Our National Park Service has designated this collapsed super-volcano a place to be preserved for generations to come, as it is like none other in the world. And visitors to the Preserve are limited to just a few dozen each day to prevent “mob scenes” such as experienced in Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Grand Canyon. In this scene, the reflection in the Jemez River brings our matchless New Mexico sky down to greet us.
