Horseshoe Canyon Pictographs: Canyonlands National Park, UT
This is the best-known panel in the canyon and includes well-preserved, life-size figures. The gallery is the product of the Desert Archaic culture and measures about 200 feet with the largest figure more than 7 feet. This photo is a detail and often referred to as the “The Ghost” panel. It has been dated between 400 and 1100 A.D.
