Colorado Color, Near Ouray, Colorado 

When we came to this lake on the narrow scary road from Silverton to Ouray, the fall colors were blinding and the bright yellow trees against the blue sky and water were overpowering. All I could see were colors. The color photograph was just that—all color and to me, the beauty of the scene was lost in the impact of the color. So I turned it into black and white and when I look at the image now, I can feel the brisk chill of the morning and experience the beauty of the surroundings.
