Canyon de Chelly National Monument, AZ  (Infrared) 

During years when there is adequate rainfall, the bottom of the canyon "sprouts" with gardens of corn and other vegetables, sheep and horses, and people spending their summers there. Even in drought years the trees manage to spring to life with roots deep into the dry creek.
