Solidarity, Yosemite National Park
Giant Sequoia trees truly may be nature’s greatest survivor—rising to skyscraper height and resisting fires, disease, and even California earthquakes. When standing at their base I can only look skyward at their majestic reach, for looking at them directly all but blocks my forward view. Some of these trees are estimated to be 3,200 years old—before the first pyramids were built in Mexico.
