Hoh Rain Forest, Olympic National Park, WA
The moss-covered logs disclose the evidence that rain is a frequent visitor, contributing to a yearly total of 140-170 inches. The result is what you see. It is a visit to a different world. The Forest is located on the western side of Olympic National Park several hours drive from Seattle. I find this temperate rain forest enchanting, and justly deserved the designation of a World Heritage Site and a Biosphere Reserve.
